NOLA's Tippy Tippens Shares 4 Goods That Matter / The Team

Designer Tippy Tippens was living in Brooklyn when news of the BP oil spill tragedy hit in 2010. Horrified at the disaster and determined to make a difference, she relocated to New Orleans to start her business Goods That Matter, a socially minded company that designs thoughtful products that give back to equally thoughtful causes. Issues she and her team have tackled so far? Wetland restoration, education, disaster relief, literacy, and of course, the oil spill clean up. Here, Tippy shares a few of her whimsical products from bird-shaped soaps to linen rabbits and tells us why they matter.

As you wash your hands, you eventually reveal the ceramic keepsake, which is symbol of hope and of going from oil-covered to clean.
