Apolis: Common Gallery

806 East 3rd St, Los Angeles, CA, 90013

The first brick-and-mortar from socially conscious menswear brand Apolis, this Arts District retail space is a must for male shoppers. Started by two brothers Raan and Shea Parton, Apolis—Greek for “global citizen”—strives to empower communities all over the world by working with them to create products and projects. The resulting clothing and accessories combine modern design with old school crafting from shirts sewn by a Honduran tailoring cooperative to scarves made in India using traditional hand-looming techniques. The industrial flagship space also functions as a gallery and event space.

Apolis is one of my favorite places to shop for menswear. I love knowing the stories behind the items I buy, and the store itself is great to browse through.
