Pizzeria Toro raised the bar on the local pizza scene and, when it comes to wood-fired pizza, can hold its own pretty much anywhere in the country—it’s that good. Owner and chef Gray Brooks loads up his popular crisp pizzas (red or white) with seasonal ingredients like spicy lamb meatballs, kale, hog island clams, and peppers. Communal tables and an open kitchen add to the lively atmosphere.
