Ava Gene's

3377 SE Division St, Portland, OR, 97202

Ava Gene’s has an incredible rustic, Roman-inspired menu with an fantastic wine list and great cocktails. They take the Pacific Northwest’s already top-notch produce to another level. It’s perfect for a date night or feasting with friends. You’ll want to order everything and it can get a little pricey, but even so, it’s totally worth it.

Almost every time my wife and I go out to dinner (which isn't as often as it used to be) we either consider going to Ava Gene's or we go there. It is just so damned good. They obviously kill it in the pasta/entrée game, but their vegetable dishes are off the charts. Tuscan Calvary, Celery Salad, whatever's in season, prepared perfectly. If you're solo or just two people, it's pretty entertaining to sit at the kitchen bar and watch the magic happen. The cocktail and wine selections and knowledge are top notch. Overall, just an awesome meal and a great experience.
