From the Coil + Drift website:
A sculptural stand that beautifully displays art books, magazines, etc. Rest your books on their sides, bindings, or left open to your favorite page. It is an elegant and bold piece made of bright Portland cement and rich finely finished walnut.
John Sorensen-Jolink founded Coil + Drift in 2012 and, along with his small team, has been designing and making beautiful furniture, objects, and lighting in his studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn ever since. Their pieces marry functionality with beautiful, clean lines and are all made with sustainable materials like reclaimed wood. John’s background in dance and choreography strongly influences his design approach.
