Susan Connor New York
Illustrator and designer Katie Deedy creates patterns that are inspired by narratives. This pattern is part of her Sister Cities series and was inspired by both simple Scandinavian design and the topography of Bolivia.
From the Grow House Grow website:
When we think Stockholm, we think classic and simple Scandinavian design. When we think La Paz, we think stunning hills, cliffs, and mountains. Though we could write volumes on all the wonderful things that make these cities noteworthy, we’ll keep it simple–just like this pattern. These quiet little peaks on a clean background incorporate Stockholm’s sparse design aesthetic with the lofty landscape of La Paz.
From Grow House Grow:
Illustrator and designer, Kate Deedy, founded Grow House Grow out of her love for storytelling. Her company specializes in narrative-inspired wallpaper design. Each pattern creates a complex tale portrayed through different color arrangements and grouped in collections. Kate's wallpapers are hand silk screened in her Brooklyn studio and come in both rolls and sheets for framing and craftwork. Rolls come untrimmed and unpasted, and are both gently wipeable and strippable.
